Text Styles

Setting Text Styles

Configuring text styles is essential for maintaining a consistent and professional appearance across your website. By setting properties such as font family, color, size, weight, transform, and line height, you can ensure that all text elements on your site are uniform, enhancing readability and overall design coherence.

Steps to Configure Text Styles

Font Family and Color

Set the font family and color for your text. This ensures that all text on your site adheres to your brand's typography and color scheme.

Font Size and Weight

Configure the font size and weight for headings, body text, links, and other text elements. This helps establish a visual hierarchy and improves readability.

Text Transform and Line Height

Set text transform properties (e.g., uppercase, lowercase) and line height to control the text's appearance and spacing.

Mobile Font Sizes:

The Generator theme allows you to set specific font sizes for mobile devices, ensuring that your text is legible and well-formatted on smaller screens.

🚨 Important: Set font sizes only in the global text styles settings, not at the page level. Setting font sizes at the page level will hard code the font size into the text on the page and prevent the mobile font size adjustments from taking place.

By setting these text styles, you ensure a consistent and professional typography across your website. In subsequent lessons, we will cover how to configure other global styles, such as buttons, forms, section spacing, and global header and footer styles. This comprehensive approach will help you create a unified and visually appealing website.
